Everything You Need to Know: From Registration to Submission Guidelines and More

This challenge focuses on introducing an automated inspection approach to proactively measure container integrity and generate repair estimates at GWC's container depots. The goal is to transition from a manual process that takes 7-8 minutes to a continuous, 2-3 minute automated system that improves accuracy and reduces truck queues.

Key aspects of the solution include:

  • Automated Damage Detection & Accuracy - Identifying structural, surface, and corrosion damage as small as 2cm with over 95% detection accuracy.
  • Intelligent Repair Estimation - Automatically generating repair cost estimates aligned with IICL guidelines and specific shipping line tariffs.
  • 3D Documentation & Auditability - Providing a clear 3D representation of the container with timestamped photographic evidence for a secure audit trail.
  • Robust & Scalable Implementation - Ensuring hardware can withstand harsh GCC outdoor conditions (heat, dust, and sandstorms) while integrating with depot management systems.

The goal is to ensure container turnaround is efficient and accurate, ultimately reducing repair-related disputes by over 70% and enhancing overall operational productivity.

This challenge is open to SMEs and startups that can deliver solutions implementable in a relatively short timeframe (TRL 5 and above).
