Everything You Need to Know: From Registration to Submission Guidelines and More

This challenge focuses on developing an immersive, interactive game-based platform designed to significantly enhance student engagement and mastery of foundational competencies, particularly in mathematics and science. Unlike traditional gamification (points and leaderboards), this seeks a true game-based environment where educational content is seamlessly embedded into narratives and scenarios.

Key aspects of the solution include:

  • Immersive Gameplay & Collaboration - A shared virtual space where students interact with objects, collaborate with peers, and conduct hands-on simulated experiments.
  • Curriculum Alignment & Customization - A flexible platform with intuitive "builder tools" that allow educators to easily tailor content and virtual worlds to align with the Qatari curriculum without needing technical skills.
  • Cultural Relevance & Security - The solution must be "Arabic-first," respecting Islamic values through gender-segregated virtual spaces/leaderboards and adhering to Qatari data privacy regulations.
  • Adaptive AI Learning - Utilizing AI to personalize difficulty levels and progression based on real-time student performance.

The goal is to reverse the traditional education model by delivering engaging, game-based environments that seamlessly embed educational content, ultimately improving student mastery of foundational competencies and enhancing performance in global benchmarks like PISA and TIMSS.

The challenge is open to SMEs and startups with solutions that are relatively mature and can be implemented within a short timeframe, specifically those with a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 6 and higher.
