Immersive Edutainment for Foundational Competencies Challenge

How can we develop an immersive, interactive game-based platform to significantly enhance student engagement and mastery of foundational competencies?

Building the Next Generation of Learning Through Immersive Edutainment

As education systems worldwide evolve, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) in Qatar is advancing efforts to strengthen student mastery of foundational competencies assessed by global benchmarks such as PISA, TIMSS, and PIRLS. However, many existing learning tools still rely on traditional instructional approaches that struggle to capture students’ attention in an increasingly digital, interactive world.

Today, there is no fully immersive, game-based learning platform that delivers deep engagement, curriculum alignment, and cultural relevance—while enabling educators to easily adapt content to Qatar’s national curriculum and values.

MoEHE is calling on innovators to develop an immersive edutainment platform that embeds learning directly into interactive gameplay, creating meaningful, engaging experiences that support mastery of foundational competencies.

💡 Your Mission:

Create an advanced immersive learning platform that places students inside rich, interactive game environments where education happens naturally through exploration and play. Your solution should combine engaging narratives, collaborative gameplay, adaptive learning mechanics, and educator-friendly tools to improve student motivation, comprehension, and long-term retention.

The goal is to move beyond surface-level gamification and deliver true edutainment—empowering students to actively learn, apply knowledge, and master foundational skills in a way that feels intuitive, engaging, and culturally relevant.

Challenge Statement

Bridging the Pedagogical Divide: Integrating Foundational Mastery into Immersive Digital Landscapes.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) is seeking solution providers to develop an integrated, real-time edutainment platform that unifies foundational learning with high-fidelity gameplay. This solution must leverage existing pedagogical standards to deliver a centralized environment of educational progress without the need for additional hardware installations. However, we are open to evaluating proposals for new, innovative technology that can scale across the national curriculum.

Your solution should combine advanced analytics, adaptive AI, and intuitive visual dashboards to provide actionable insights into student mastery, engagement levels, and cross-competency performance. The goal is to enhance educational efficiency, support smarter resource planning, and improve the overall student journey through a seamless, data-driven, and scalable edutainment solution.
