Today, there is no fully integrated platform capable of delivering real-time, airport-wide visibility into passenger and staff movement.
 

HIA is calling on innovators to develop a unified, predictive movement intelligence solution that leverages existing data sources—such as Wi-Fi logs, XOVIS sensors, AODB—to create a complete picture of flows across the airport.

Innovative Solutions for Global Aviation: Help Shape the Future of Smart Airport Operations

Hamad International Airport (HIA) is seeking solution providers to develop an integrated, real-time movement intelligence platform that unifies passenger and staff flow data across the airport. This solution could leverage existing systems—such as Wi-Fi logs, XOVIS sensors, AODB —to deliver a centralized view of airport-wide movement patterns without the need for additional hardware installations, however we are also open to evaluate any proposal for new suitable and innovative technology proposal.

Your solution should combine advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and intuitive visual dashboards to provide actionable insights into bottlenecks, dwell times, congestion points, and cross-zonal movement. The goal is to enhance operational efficiency, support smarter resource planning, and improve the overall airport experience through a seamless, data-driven, and scalable solution.

Timeline Overview

January 5th - March 5th 2026
Startups and SMEs can now sign up on the platform, complete the participation form, and submit a proposal deck to showcase their solutions.
A webinar will be hosted for further details and a Q&A session with Hamad International Airport (HIA) and QRDI (date to be announced).

February - March 2026

HIA and QRDI will review all proposals and identify potential solution providers for collaboration. Shortlisted innovators will be notified during this period.

April - May 2026
Shortlisted innovators will have the opportunity to connect directly with HIA teams for further discussions, clarifications, and evaluation.
June - July 2026
The final announcement of matched innovators will be made on the platform by July 2026.
