Seamless Multi-channel Communication for Customer Engagement and Supply Chain Excellence Challenge
How might we create an AI communications co-pilot for logistics operations by triaging, clarifying and escalating time-critical messages across communication channels?
Frequently Asked Questions
This challenge focuses on introducing an AI-powered communications co-pilot proactively triage, clarify, and escalate time-critical logistics messages. The goal is to transition from manual, scattered context-stitching across multiple inboxes to aunified, intelligent air-traffic-control layer.
Key aspects of the solution include:
- Multichannel Integration - Minimum coverage of email and voice (speech-to-text) for the pilot phase, with future integration for WhatsApp, Teams, and SMS.
- Logistics-Context Intelligence - Detecting intent, priority, and risk signals while automatically extracting job identifiers like PO numbers and arrival times.
- Automated Triage & SLA Awareness - Routing communications to the correct internal owners and triggering escalation logic based on pre-defined SLAs.
- Ambiguity Detection & Clarification - Automatically identifying vague replies (e.g., "the truck is on its way") and requesting specific, actionable details.
- Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) Operation - Operating as a co-pilot that supports high levels of autonomy while keeping humans involved for exception handling and customer responses.
The goal is to ensure communication is efficient and traceable, ultimately reducing time spent on routine follow-ups by over 70% and significantly increasing operational productivity.
This challenge is open to SMEs and startups that can deliver solutions implementable in a relatively short timeframe (TRL 5 and above).
